Join Richard Harrington for an in-depth discussion in this video Setting custom timing, part of Keynote: Builds, Transitions, Animations, and Effects.
…As you interleave build an animation.…You're going to what to refine the timing of each effect.…Now you've seen me do this a bit already.…But I want to give you one more example so it really comes home.…This is the power of animation inside of Keynote…and getting the timings down really can add impact.…For example here, I've got a slide where I want to reveal some information.…So when it animates, with a single click the motorcycle comes on.…And then the title builds with the subtitle coming in below it.…
With another click the motorcycle drives off, and the text goes off the screen.…I interleave those animations so it was just…two clicks, but getting the timings right was important.…Let's take a look at what they were and then we'll rebuild it from scratch.…If I select the individual elements here, I could bring up build order.…And you'll see that we have a simple move in…and a move out effect, using just a one second transition.…But the text animation were a bit different.…This one came in automatically after a slight delay.…
