Join Richard Harrington for an in-depth discussion in this video Customizing the presenter view, part of Keynote 6: Delivering Presentations.
…As I present, I often like to see different…information on my computer than what the audience is viewing.…Sometimes it's useful to see a timer to know where I'm at in the middle of a…presentation, or the ability to actually judge what's coming…up next while the audience hasn't seen it yet.…This lets me really talk to the next slide, so…when I'm in mid-transition I don't have to stand there awkwardly…waiting for the next piece of content to pop up, so…I remember what it is and start to talk about it.…This is all controlled with the presenter's display.…
Normally, when you give a presentation, the audience sees a view like this.…However, on your screen, you can see a view like this, which…shows you the current slide, as well as what's coming up next.…You'll also notice things like an advance indicator ,which is…telling me when it's ready to advance to the next slide.…Well, you can totally customize this view.…You'll only see this if you have an external…display connected and you don't have mirroring turned on.…
