Join Richard Harrington for an in-depth discussion in this video Controlling audio playback, part of Keynote: Builds, Transitions, Animations, and Effects.
…Adding audio to a slide is very similar to working with a movie.…Now earlier, I showed you how to use…the build inspector to control things with the audio…file, but there are some additional things you…can do in the inspector to adjust the property.…With the sound clip selected, what you can do is take a look at Format.…And this gives you the ability to adjust.…So if you know that the volume is too loud, you…can easily lower the volume of the clip, so it's more background.…Remember, click play and you can easily…hear what you're doing while you're adjusting.…
Additionally, using the Edit Audio capability allows you to…adjust the in or the out point for the clip.…In fact, these exact same controls were available on…the movie, you'll notice there if the movie is selected.…We could go to the Movie tab and see…the same Edit Movie and volume controls as well.…So this gives you a lot of flexibility there too.…Back to the audio file here, you'll note that I could adjust the volume…as well as trim the audio, so maybe the song starts later or ends sooner.…
