Join Richard Harrington for an in-depth discussion in this video Adding sound to animation, part of Keynote: Builds Transitions Animations and Effects.
…If you'd like to add sound to your animation, it's a little bit…more work than using something like PowerPoint,…which simply has it as a preset.…But, by taking advantage of the Interleaved commands, you…can easily synchronize animation and sound together for powerful results.…Here's how it works.…To add a sound, simply drag it from a folder onto your slide.…And then it becomes available as an element.…If I click here, you can hear it playback.…Let's select that and I'll delete it.…Now in this case, I've already built a slide with three sounds and three objects.…
What I want to see happen, as each object comes on.…A sound place.…You'll notice that the slide indicates that there's already a build animation.…When you add a sound effect, the Start Audio…property is automatically added as a build in effect.…So that's fine.…What I'm going to do is select these here and Add a build Effect.…Let's do the very tasteful Fade and Scale.…Now that's fine, but the order is not exactly what I wanted.…That's okay.…Let's go to Build Order and we'll get this set right.…
