Why choose KNIME?
- [Instructor] So with the dozens, if not hundreds, of options, why choose KNIME? Let's first talk a little bit about my general advice on picking an analytics tool. Plan on having more than one, the surveys I've been reading lately, including one of my favorites, the Rexer Survey, indicates that most of us that do this every day, use something like five analytics tools. Now was a result, of not committing to just one, you can also avoid a couple of mistakes. Like overweighting the tool choice in hiring. Hiring only individuals that are experts in a particular tool. I don't think that's a great idea. Nor do I think it's a great idea to choose a tool that fits one particular project, and then committing everything to that one tool. Just plan on having more than one. Do your homework before a vendor demo, or a proof of concept. What will happen is folks will feel overwhelmed, they'll have the vendor tackle their initial project, and the next thing you know, the weeks or months have gone…
