- These are the answers to worksheet number three. Please check your answers, and if any of them don't match please continue watching the video, and I'll walk you step-by-step through every single problem. Your first challenge problem was letter A. And letter A is negative 12 x equals 84. Since we are multiplying negative 12 times x, we know that in order to solve we need to divide by the coefficient of x, which is negative 12. So I'm going to divide by negative 12 on both sides of the equation. It's very important not to forget the negative sign when you're dividing because negative 12 divided by negative 12 is positive one, and we need our answer to be positive x equals. So now on the left-hand side we have x equals, and on the right-hand side we have 84 divided by negative 12, which is negative seven. So the final answer for letter A is x equals negative seven. Letter B is 1/4 s equals negative two. Now this problem may have been a little tricky because the coefficient of s is 1/4.…
