- [Instructor] As this course is focused on the exploration of advanced concepts with JavaScript, some experience with this language is a must. If you aren't familiar with the basics of the language, such as how to write functions, variables, classes, et cetera, I'd highly recommend you take a basic or essential course on JavaScript. Also, in this course, we use the ES6 syntax. Next, being familiar with terminal commands and npm isn't a must, but will definitely help you when we use these tools. As you'll see, I'm running on a Windows machine, but you can follow along on a Mac, as tools such as VSCode are available on both platforms and work essentially the same way.
