If you're a premium member of lynda.com, you have access to the exercise files used throughout this title. In the exercise files folder, you'll find folders for each video in the series. Inside those folders, you should see a folder with a copy of the files you're going to need for the project. Some folders have a single functions folder, while some folders may have exercise files for a challenge. Some of the later folders have both a start folder as well as the finished version of the files. The start folder has the files when I begin the project, and the finished folder has a copy of the files when I finish the project.
I'll start each project by having a copy of the functions folder in my desktop and having the files in the functions folder opened in my text editor. I may also have a copy of a browser opened to the index.html file and have a copy of the console open while I'm doing the project. To get a copy of the console, just open up your browser to the index.html file, then right-click and select Inspect Element, using Google Chrome. From here, you want to make sure you click on this double triangle and switch over to the console.
