For the past two decades, programmers have structured both their code and their conversations about code around the patterns first described in Design Patterns, the classic Gang of Four book. JavaScript programmers have participated in these conversations, but the patterns discussed mostly fit in the world of orthodox object-oriented programming. In this course, Emmanuel Henri explains how these patterns fit with JavaScript. He demystifies the purpose of some of the most common patterns, providing code examples along the way.     Patterns are only as valuable as their usefulness, and not much was given in terms of why these patterns are useful. I also question some of the information presented, though it could just be a matter of semantics. As an experienced developer I expected to introduced to ideas with which I had not previously worked. I wasn't, and I often wondered if the information was even accurate. I would not recommend this course, though if a new developer found it, it would at least provide exposure to concepts.
