(deep chimes) - [Voiceover] Hey there, this is Ray Villalobos and welcome to JavaScript: Events. In this course, I'm going to show you how the modern JavaScript Event model works and give you a lot of practical experience dealing with different types of events. I'll start by showing you how events work and how to register them in order to make them available to your applications. I'll discuss the different ways that events can propagate and be registered in the capturing, as well as in the bubbling phase. Plus, I'll show you how to stop an event from propagating and how to cancel an event's or an element's default behavior.
We'll explore how to deal with events through a series of exercises that show you how to deal with clicks, mouse overs, right clicks, following the mouse, plus loading images. Then, we'll examine a couple of complex examples of dealing with events by showing you how to build an audio jukebox, as well as a drag and drop game that deals with both desktop and touch events. There's a lot to learn, but that's why you're here, so let's get started with JavaScript: Events.
