- [Voiceover] Hi, my name is Chris Converse and this is a course that I've put together to show you how to create an event countdown timer for your website. Now a countdown timer can be a great way to increase anticipation for a product or service or possibly a conference or maybe even a worldwide event. We'll make use of a free J-query plugin in this course called J-query countdown and we'll write our own HTML and CSS to create a responsive, attractive, and branded countdown timer for your website. Now we'll also be exploring the HTML that's injected by the plugin so that we can write custom CSS rules.
In addition we're going to take a look at how we can customize the HTML that's actually injected by the plugin as well. So you can conform the HTML to match any existing CSS rules you may already have in place. And the exercise files for this course are available to all members and includes a copy of the J-query plugin that we'll be using. So download the exercise files and let's start creating a countdown timer for your next big event.
