Finding Node.js resources

There are many ways you can connect with the Node community and find more Node resources. In this video, we'll look at several resources on the web for learning more about Node. First, there's the nodejs.org homepage. From here, you can download Node itself, learn more about the project, or browse the API documentation. The API documentation covers the latest stable version of Node. Be sure to pay attention to the page About these Docs.

There's a guide on this page for helping you determine the stability level of various Node features. Some features have been deprecated, but are still documented for historical purposes. Others are locked and are not likely to change in future versions. Next, there's the NPM directory. This site can help you find modules for your Node project, as well as give you an idea of whether a particular module is still well supported. To get a feel for the future of Node, have a look at the Node mailing list on Google Groups.
