- [Narrator] Before you get started with this course, there are a few things you should know. You should already be familiar with writing code in Java. I won't be explaining any basic syntax, so if you're new to Java, I'd suggest watching the course Learning Java. If you're comfortable with the basics of writing Java code, it's time to open your favorite IDE. I'll be working in NetBeans because it offers many special tools and templates for writing in Java.
