In this series, we concentrated on the introduction of using threads in a Java application. We started with low-level thread creation and thread management and an overview of the concurrency utilities that are available for multithreaded applications. With each new release of Java, Oracle seems to add to the list of concurrency utilities. So, as a next step, continue to pay attention to future releases of Java and additional utilities that can be useful for managing multithreaded applications.
