JDBC is a set of Java interfaces and classes that will connect your application to nearly any relational database management system. I'll show you how to write Java code to connect to two different database management systems. Once connected, I'll describe how to loop through rows of retrieve data, and how to display their contents. I'll describe how to use preparedStatement objects to create parameterized SQL statements.
I'll then show you how to insert, update, and delete data, and how to dynamically acquire information about your database structure. I hope that this course will help you get started with this important Java API, and get ready to build data-aware, Java-based applications.
