How to create a thread

How to create a thread: Learning Java Threads
How to create a thread: Learning Java Threads

There are two ways to create a thread in Java. One way is to declare a new subclass of the Thread class, which must override the run() method. Then an instance, a thread, can be allocated and started. The other way is to implement the runnable interface by creating a new class that implements runnable or creating a runnable object that is passed to a Thread constructor. All these approaches require that we override the run() method with the code to be executed by that particular thread.
