Learn how to build web apps using JavaServer Faces (JSF) with Java Enterprise Edition (EE).
- [Christian] JavaServer Faces, or JSF 2.0, is a powerful new standard Java framework for building modern web applications. JSF solves many of the historical problems of Java web development by providing a clean implementation of the Model-View-Controller paradigm. So even a non-Java programmer can still build functional web front-ends. Hi, my name is Christian Hur. I am an IT web instructor and a long-time web developer, and welcome to Building JSF 2.0 Web Applications.
Join me as I take you through the entire process of building a fully functional dynamic web applications with JSF 2.0. I will give you a first-hand look at the rich and robust JSF API that offers unsurpassed power and programming flexibility to build and perform CRUD operations. I'll also show you how to create Managed Beans and model classes, configure the views, and bind the model and Java Beans methods to the UI components. Finally, I will teach you how to create a login page and configure sessions to prevent unauthorized access across all JSF pages.
I'm excited to get going, and I hope you are too, so let's get started.
