- [Instructor] So let's see what our Agile Fitness team did for sprint planning in Jira. What they did was they navigated to the projects, accessed the Agile Fitness Club and I am in the backlog view of the Agile Fitness Club board. In order to start a sprint, you're going to click create sprint and this is the sprint created.
When you edit sprint, it gives you the ability to provide the sprint goal which in our case was enhancing our fitness club website and updating mobile apps. The next step is to plan your sprint and we will get into the details of how to create meeting notes and product requirements later. For the time being, I'm just going to go ahead and add the items that are supposed to be part of this sprint.
We have six user stories and two bugs that need to be part of the sprint. Now I have my sprint created with eight issues in it. Please note that I have my six user stories up here with green icon and then the last two are defects. I'm going to click start sprint to start the sprint. You can call the sprint whatever you like, I'm going to leave the default that is AFC Sprint 1.
The duration is two weeks. The start date is 18 September 2018 and because I have set two weeks here, if I did three, it will automatically update the end date. Let's go with two week sprint and click start and our sprint has started. It shows me that I have nine days remaining in my sprint and let's go ahead and drag a few items that are in progress now.
Let's drag one defect item and my sprint is in progress.
