Working with origin geometry

- [Voiceover] As we continue to learn about sketching, it's gonna be important to understand the Origin in geometry. You've seen me interact with it a little bit already but let's take a moment to explore a little further. I'm gonna go ahead and start a new Part file, by clicking New Part in the dashboard. And this is gonna launch the default part template. And as I was mentioning in the previous movie, when we were talking about the introduction to sketching, every single part is gonna start with a sketch on a flat surface. The problem is with the New Part, there is no flat surface yet. There's no model created, so you can't select any geometry. And that's where Origin geometry comes in. The Origin geometry is essentially the center of the universe for this part or assembly that you're creating. It can be found here in the browser, in the upper left-hand corner. If you click the plus symbol next to the Origin folder, you'll see the geometry that makes up the Origin. The Origin is…
