- In this movie, we'll review some of the options for Simulation inside of Autodesk Inventor Professional. Once you enter the Stress Analysis Environment, and Create a New Simulation, you're greeted with the Create New Simulation dialogue box. Inside of this dialogue box we can review some of the key options that are available in Inventor Professional. Inventor Professional is focused on Static Analysis. That analysis is single point in time. It can be executed on parts or assemblies, and another important consideration is that the materials must be linear. If you need to work with nonlinear materials, or need Dynamic Analysis, Autodesk offers other tools that are capable of doing that type of design. Another option is to do Modal Analysis, focusing on Frequency response. Another option is the ability to do what is called a Parametric Optimization.
