Join John Helfen for an in-depth discussion in this video Save transparent background, part of Autodesk Inventor: Presentations.
- [Instructor] In this exercise,…we're going to look at how we can export snapshot views…as Raster images with transparent backgrounds.…Transparent backgrounds are important because…it allows an image to be overlaid on another image…and see through to the background.…This comes in handy for marketing images…or assembly instructions, things of that nature.…On the screen, you can see the engine assembly…we're working with.…The one thing we need to look at now…are the snapshot views that we have available to us.…To enable your snapshot view browser,…we need to go to the View tab under the Windows panel…and select User Interface.…
From there, we can check the Snapshot View…to enable the dialog box.…Now, you'll notice this dialog box is floating,…and it can be docked in a number of places.…If you drag it all the way to the right of the screen…and release your mouse, it'll dock it on the right.…You can also drag the title bar to undock it,…and in this case, I'm going to actually dock it…as a tab in my browser.…It's important to know that it'll remember…
