Routing wires through the harness

Routing wires through the harness

- [Instructor] Now with all my electrical components, wires, and harness segments in place, I can begin routing. I'll activate my harness, and I can choose either the Route tool, where I can select the first and last segment that the wire should pass through, or I'll use the Automatic Route tool. With the Automatic Route tool, I can pick a wire and tell it to apply the route. It will find what it thinks is the best route. When it does, you'll notice that the segment changed size. It's now adopted the size of the harness based on the diameter of the wire that's passing through it. If I go ahead and route all of the other remaining wires, you'll see that the harness size varies as it passes through. Now all my wires are routed. If I should need to, I can unroute any individual wire and allow it to pass through a different segment by using Route, or allow it to appear out of the harness in a different position. This can be used sometimes where you have an independent or chassis ground…
