- [Narrator] In this video, we're going to take this part that represents the tread pattern we want on our stairs, and we're going to see how we can extract this information into an iFeature. And then place that into a target part. So the first thing we want to do is we want to go over to the Manage tab inside of Inventor. And if you go to the Author panel there is a button or a command that is called Extract iFeature. So go ahead and click on that. And that will bring up our authoring dialogue. And then inside of your Model browser click on Sketch1, then hold your Shift button down and go all the way down to Rectangular Pattern2. Now, notice once we select all of these features they show up inside of our selected features in our dialogue. And over here it shows a Size Parameters box and a Position Geometry. Now, when we're placing this into a target part we have to place it somewhere, and we need to tell Inventor where that somewhere is we're placing it. Well, that's what this…
