Partial chamfers
- [Instructor] Autodesk Inventor has several different chamfer possibilities. In this exercise, we'll be looking at the partial chamfer. On the screen, you can see a simple mold base I've created that we'll be using as an example here. If we go to the View tab and from the Appearance panel, select the Visual Style dropdown and select Shaded with Hidden Edges, you can see that inside this, there's a cavity where a mold could be placed and fastened into the mold base. What we're going to do is add the chamfers that you could use to pry this mold open. Go ahead and open the Partial Chamfer exercise file and you'll see that we have a model that's almost complete. The top half has been finished but we need to finish the bottom half. In the browser, you'll see a folder called Solid Bodies and if you click the arrow next to it, you'll see two bodies are contained in it. Let's go ahead and right-click on Solid2 and turn off its visibility by clicking on it. We're now ready to begin creating…
