Overview of sheet metal
- [Instructor] Sheet Metal certification objectives. In this lesson we'll create several features using the sheet metal tools. I have an assembly with a base and the sketch is for a sheet metal part. I'll open up the sheet metal part in its own window so that I can develop it out. Sheet metal uses a consistent material therefore I need to set up a default material. I can use the value that's already there and make modifications based on it or I can generate a style with its own unique properties. I'll create a new style. I'll call it 12ga. I'll set the thickness to the proper setting and I'll go through some of the other tabs. For example, the bend tab. I would like the bend radius to be half of the thickness. The bend relief to be the same. I'll change the relief shape to a round relief and I'll set the corner to be rounded as well, if I need one of those. I'll save my style. Close out. Now, I want to make sure I have the 12ga material as the active style. I'll close out of my sheet…
