Modify edges with fillets and chamfers
- We're now ready to finish this part off by creating a fillet and Chamfer. On the screen, you can see the final version of this part and if you look in the browser, you'll see a Fillet One, which covers three different specific fillets. And then you have Chamfer One, which is running around this top platform. Now, if you've been following along, you can probably build from the file that you've been working on. If you need a file to start from, you can open "Filletchamferstart.ipt". Now there's a couple of different ways we can access fillets and chamfers. The first way is from the 3D Model tab, under the Modify Panel, you can see it here as "Fillet" and here as "Chamfer." Because fillet is used more frequently, you can also access it from the right click menu, here at the top. The way I actually access this is to use the heads up display. If, for example, you select on an edge, the head's up display will offer fillet and chamfer as a way to modify that edge. I'm going to go ahead and…
