- [Instructor] I wanted to take a moment and congratulate you. You've reached a new milestone in this course. Now that you've learned how to sketch, create 3D features and parts. We're ready to look at how to put these parts together into assemblies. On the screen you can see that I have a universal joint assembly. The extension is .IAM. You can see it here at the top of the browser. We're going to use this model throughout the assembly section of this course to learn how we can bring parts into an assembly. And what's important is the assembly is essentially just a wrapper or a container. It'll hold other parts and assemblies. It'll also hold the rules called Constraints. That teach each of those parts how they interact with one another. Let's take a second and look at the browser a little more closely.
