Importing wire data from AutoCAD Electrical

- [Instructor] The design that I need for my wire harness is represented in schematic form in this AutoCAD Electrical drawing, which will be included with the data set. You'll see that connector A1 is represented by this long strip, and connectors L1, L2, and P4 are also present. Each one of the wires is labeled, and there is a splice included in the design. To share this information with Inventor I can simply create an Export file of my active drawing. This too will be included in the data set. It is possible to create bidirectional associativity between Inventor and AutoCAD Electrical, so that if changes are made to the Electrical design in Inventor they can be reflected in the schematic as well. We will not be reviewing that workflow in this course. Let me know switch to Inventor. I will take advantage of that AutoCAD Electrical information by editing the harness and going to Import Harness Data.
