- [Voiceover] When you first launch your Autodesk Inventor, you're presented with the homepage, or your dashboard. This brings together all the things that you're going to most likely do when you don't have a file open in Autodesk Inventor. Things like: create new files, explore the projects that you have, or review recent documents you've been working on. This is just a window, like any other window in Inventor. In the upper right-hand corner, there's a minimize, restore, and a close button that will allow you to make adjustments as needed. The reason I bring this up is there are going to be cases where you may have closed this window and may need to return to it. For example, if I double-click on Engine.iam and open that, you'll see that we have the engine open on one tab, down here at the bottom of the screen, and we have my home tab set as another tab. If, for some reason, you were to close this tab, you could still continue working on your designs. But once you close this…
