Generating a harness report

Generating a harness report

- [Instructor] To document our harness, there are a few different choices, one of which we'll review right now which is the report. A report is useful for generating a wireless that can be used by manufacturing. For example, automated wire cutters have the ability to take these reports and cut wires to the perfect length, even labeling them based on this information. First, I'll select the type of report I want to update. These configuration files are available and placed in the data set that you'll be downloading. What I'd like to do is a wire run, I'll click OK, and it will generate this list with the Wire ID, the Part Number, the Length and the Designator Information. This can be exported out as a CSV file for use by manufacturing equipment or any number of purposes. Next we'll take a look at how to create a two dimensional drawing and leverage this information.
