- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to take this model of our plate that allows the user to select how many holes they want across the top and the bottom, and instead of giving them the option to choose how many holes they want, we're going to give them the option to choose the maximum spacing they want between each of these holes, and then have Inventor automatically calculate how many holes they'll need, as well as what the spacing should be between each of those holes. Now in order to do that we're going to need to create a user parameter, and we're also going to need to use a function. Now Inventor has several functions that are available when we're working with parameters, and they're very useful and we'll go through what all of those are throughout this video. So let's go ahead and open our parameters box back up, and the first thing that we want to do is we want to create another user parameter, and this user parameter we're going to call MaxHoleSpacing.
