Duplicating a route

- [Instructor] In industries that use a lot of tubing, it's not uncommon to have the same tube run replicated or duplicated multiple times in an assembly. To do this inside of Auto Desk Inventor is very easy. I'll activate my tube and pipe runs, copy my existing run and paste it back into the assembly. I'll then constrain the component into location by returning back to the main level of my assembly, selecting the geometry and using a constraint to place it. Now that it's in place I can suppress the constraint to avoid headaches should I make modifications to the route that cause it to move slightly. A key advantage of this technique is that if you make a change to your initial route, such as moving a segment, both routes will be updated automatically. However, if you need to make your second run independent to have its own geometry or to add characteristics you don't want reflected in other runs, you can do this as well. I'll reactivate my tube and pipe runs, select the new run and…
