Creating rectangular feature patterns along a path
- In this movie, we're gonna continue looking at the Rectangular Pattern Tool. But we're gonna look at it in a very unique way. On the screen you can see the starting file I created. And in the browser you have a sketch. And that sketch includes a circle, along with a path. We're gonna start by selecting the Rectangular Pattern Tool in the pattern panel here on the 3D Model tab. When we do that, we get back to the Rectangular Pattern. And what we wanna do here is select the feature we wanna pattern, which is this Extrusion2, which is the hole. And here we're gonna select a direction. In the previous movie we selected a model edge. What I didn't mention was that you could also select an edge in a sketch. So if we, for example for Direction 1, were to select this green line by left-clicking on it, you'll see that we're starting to create a pattern along that line. So why is this unique?
