Creating a dynamic simulation

- In Autodesk Inventor Professional, finite element analysis is based on static loads on a component. Frequently, though those components exist inside of a dynamic environment in their normal working conditions. Inside of Autodesk Inventor Professional we have an additional simulation environment called Dynamic Simulation. Dynamic Simulation, which is in the Begin panel of the Environments tab, puts our assembly into a different world. In this world, rather than using traditional assembly constraints, we use joints to establish relationships between our components. These joints can have additional properties, such as resistance to movement, or we can even infer movement into these joints to actuate the assembly. We can also create additional components that don't exist in our assembly. For example, here I have a spring joint.
