Creating detail views

- [Voiceover] We're now going to look at how we can create a detailed view. On the screen you can see a drawing I've made. It's the engine block we used previously. And we have a side view, and we have an isometric view. What we're going to do, is we're going to create a detailed view to highlight this exhaust port. You can see it here in the isometric view as well. Creating a detailed view is very similar to creating a section view. You need to identify a base view to begin from. You need to tell Inventor what specifically you want to detail, and then you need to locate that view. Let's go ahead and walk through that process. If we go to the create panel under the place views tab and select detail, we can begin. We need to start off by selecting a view. And we can do that by hovering over the base view and left clicking. That tells Inventor we want to use that as our base view. And we now have the detailed view dialogue box that has a few basic settings we can adjust. We can set the…
