Creating baseline, ordinate, and chain dimensions

- On the screen, you can see the drawing file we're going to use for this exercise, Engine Block Baseline.idw. On it, we have three different views that are identical. The reason for this is because in this movie, we're going to look at baseline, ordinate and chain dimensions and they all function in very similar fashion so I wanted to just explore them in the three different views one at a time. Let's go ahead and zoom in on the view on the bottom left and let's go ahead and return to the Annotate tab and here in the dimension panel, you can see baseline, ordinate and chain dimensions. We'll start with baseline. Once you're in the baseline command, all you have to do is simply select the pieces of geometry that you want to dimension, right click in the graphics window and select Continue. What this does is very quickly creates dimensions, organize dimensions and stacks them all so you can place them all on a single action. By left clicking, you locate the dimensions and then right…
