Create a work point and work axis
- [Instructor] Now that you understand how to create work planes, it's time to take a look at creating work axes and work points. If you haven't watched the work planes videos yet, I recommend you do that now because we talk a lot about the selections and how Inventor handles that in those movies, and the same is true for work axes and work point. To create a work axis, we can return to the 3D Model tab under the Work Feature, and you can see Work Axis here just to the right of Plane. You'll also notice that there's a dropdown arrow next to it, and clicking it will expose all the different types of axes you can make. I'm going to go ahead and select the top option, which doesn't limit the selections we can make, and I'm going to create an axis between these two work planes that we have, and this is very similar to the origin geometry.
