Create a sweep feature with model edges
- [Voiceover] We're now ready to look at Sweep one more time, but instead of creating everything from scratch, on the screen you can see an oil pan part that I've created. This is in the exercise files and it's where you can start for this exercise. What we're gonna do is we're gonna create a profile that we can sweep around the top of this oil pan, but instead of drawing the path that is gonna be swept around, we're gonna use the edge of the model instead. To begin, we need to go ahead and right-click and select New Sketch. And we're gonna select this Work Plane that I've pre-created for us. And it runs right through the center of this part. If we zoom in a little bit, you can see that we have some geometry in our way, and if you've been watching all the other movies, you'll remember F7 on our keyboard will slice graphics, allowing us to see the sketch plane.
