Create and edit components in an assembly

how to place components, it's time to look at how we can create and edit components within the context of an assembly. Placing components is fine, but that assumes that you've taken the time to create each and every individual component separately outside of the assembly first and then placed them in, and that's fine in certain cases What we're going to do here, is we're going to go ahead and create a handle on the end of this arm. To do that, there's a couple of ways we can access the create option. We can either go to the Assemble tab here under the Component panel and select Create, or like many other commands, we can right click in the graphics window and select Create Component. When we do that, we get the Create In-Place Component dialogue box. This is just a miniature new file dialogue. What we want to do here is fill out the information so that we can create a new part within the context of this assembly. Since we're going to create a handle, let's call this Handle. Now let's…
