Create a drawing view
- [Voiceover] One last item I want to touch on is the ability to create a drawing view. It's not listed under the publish section, but I see that as a vehicle to publish information for others as well. We're using the same exercise file that we've been working on, that has a couple snapshots and a couple story boards. The snapshots are what are important when it comes to creating drawing views. These are going to be the views that you have available to you when the drawing view is created. All you have to do is simply go to the Toolbar under the Drawing panel, and click Create Drawing View. This will bring up the template dialog box where you can select the proper template for your needs. I'm going to select Standard.idw, and double-click it, and you see that I'm placed into a drawing view. Inventor's placed a view on my screen, and I have a dialog box for the drawing view. In the presentation section of the dialog box, there's a drop-down that lists the snapshots that are available…
