- Creating custom lights allows user to control every aspect of lighting as it relates to the model. Let's go to Render Image, and for Lighting Style, let's select The Sun. We'll say Render. And we can see what we get here. A couple different things there's ... point out to focus on. You'd see the side of the model right now, very dark on the side, and we also want to add some effects of different lighting types here, so by adding custom lights, it allows us to pretty much manipulate these lights however we want. So we're going to close this, and we're going to go up to Lighting Styles. I notice that we have ... the option The Sun is already highlighted, because that's the one we just used, but when I create new lights, I don't like to change the existing templates that are in here, I like to create new ones and then modify those so we have a copy of them.
