Create additional types of workplanes

- [Instructor] Now that you've seen how to create offset work planes, let's look at a few different types. On the screen, you can see I have Work Planes.ipt open, and we can begin by returning to the 3D model tab under the work features panel and selecting the plane dropdown. Again, there's many different options here, and we want to look at parallel to a plane through a point. What's important here is that depending on the type of work plane you select, parallel to a plane through a point, for example, Inventor will automatically limit the type of selections you can make on the 3D model. For example, if I hover over the model, you can see that planes are highlighted and points at end points or midpoints are highlighted, but no edges are highlighted because of the specific type of plane we're trying to create, parallel to a plane through a point.
