Construction geometry
- [Narrator] Up to this point in the course, we've learned how to create basic sketch geometry, things like lines and rectangles, arcs and splines. Now we're ready to look at construction geometry. Now construction geometry is just like any other piece of sketch geometry with one major exception and that is how it's interpreted when you're applying a modeling action to a sketch. Let's have a look at what that looks like. To begin, we need a new part, I've got a new part on the screen, and we need a new sketch. We can right-click in the graphics window and select new sketch and then hover over the XY plane to begin your sketch. Now up to this point in the course, you've only used the two point rectangle, now we're going to look at a different type of rectangle. If we return to the Sketch tab under the Create menu and select the drop-down under Rectangle, you can see all the different options that we have available.
