Certification overview

- [Instructor] As you prepare to take this course, I wanted to pause for a moment and make you aware of the Autodesk certification options that are available to you. If you browse to autodesk.com/certification, you'll find information about training and certification that's available from Autodesk. If you scroll down the page, you'll find a link that will provide detailed information on certification. You can select View Certification Options, and this will take you to the Certiport website, the company who provides certifications for Autodesk. On the left, you'll see Certify. Selecting that will give you detailed information about certification exams that are available for a number of Autodesk products, including Autodesk Inventor. The entry-level exam for Autodesk Inventor is the Autodesk Certified User exam. This allows you to prove to others, whether for academic purposes or career purposes, that you have a solid understanding of what Inventor is and what the concepts are, and how the general interface functions. Once you have used Inventor on the job in a professional environment, you may find yourself ready for the Certified Professional exam. This requires a much deeper knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and requires on-the-job experience of actually using the product in a real-world environment. If you want to learn more about the certification exams, you can dig in here on this website. I suggest you take a moment to prepare for this course by looking through these pages and learn a bit more about what's available to you as you improve your knowledge on the products. Certifications are a great way to let people know that you have both knowledge of a product and a willingness to work on improving your skills.
