- [Narrator] This will be the first of three lessons on the Advanced Modeling certification of objectives. In this lesson, we'll focus on using a loft tool, creating an iPart and then using the emboss tool to add either text or a profile to our model. I'll begin working on my lower housing. I have my ramp that will feed oil up into the oil pump. But I need to be able to pick up oil from the pan. To create the geometry that I need to do that, I'll use the loft tool. The loft tool can use either sketches or faces to define a transition. For this, I'll pick the bottom face from the lower part of the lower housing and the bottom of the cylinder that was extruded. This will give me a preview of what the new geometry would look like. I'll change it to cutting geometry. I could go in and create transitions where it's using tangency. But in this case, I'm just going to go ahead and keep the free condition. I'll click okay and we'll generate my loft. The next thing I'd like to do is define an…
