Functional prototyping
- So what exactly is a prototype? A prototype is a tangible expression of an idea or concept. It can be an outline of class activities, it can be instructor notes, it can be instructions to learners performing a learning exercise. The biggest mistake people make however is putting too much effort into their prototypes. Think about it a prototype is by definition rough and incomplete. A prototype is not a fully functioning instructional component with presentable images, color, and content. It is not a typo free instructor guide or formatted learner guide. A prototype uses stick figures, squares and circles in the place of polished media. In E learning a prototype is a roughly constructive interactive component that has few words and neither no media or handy stand in media or sketches.
