- After all of the design efforts and the development of the design proof and the alpha, it's time to finish the project. With the beta version serving as the first gold release, the end is near, but finishing is a lot easier said than done. To ensure that you and the team understand the role of the next two deliverables, let's discuss these final project deliverables. The beta is a modified version of the alpha based on feedback received. All content and media will be included and in final form. All navigational elements, support information, or additional documentation required by the design will be included as well. Some expectations for the beta deliverable are the product is complete and needed corrections identified in testing the alpha release have been made. If no problems that must be fixed prior to release are identified, the beta release becomes the gold release and rolls out for use.
