Join Garrick Chow for an in-depth discussion in this video Post a photo from your camera roll, part of Learning Instagram.
- [Voiceover] In addition to shooting photos…directly with an Instagram,…you can also post photos you've previously shot…and have stored on your phone or tablet's…camera roll or photos app.…In fact, sometimes even if you're shooting a photo…on the spot, you might want to shoot…with your device's camera app instead of Instagram.…One of the limitations of shooting with Instagram…is that it only captures square images,…which might be okay in many cases,…but if you want the option of having a fullscreen image…of your photo and to be able to crop it square…or leave it as a rectangle when you post it,…you'll want to shoot with your device's camera app…and then import the photo into Instagram.…
So I already have several photos…in my phone's camera roll.…To post one of them to my feed…I again tap the camera button here in Instagram,…and this time I have library selected.…On Android devices this is labeled gallery.…So here I can browse through the photos…stored on my device that I shot with a built in camera.…You can either swipe up along the thumbnails…
