Learn about inserting, replacing, adding, splitting, and modifying components for component roads. In addition, explore modeling linear road transitions where the road cross-sections change as well as adding lanes, curbs, and transitions where needed and
- [Instructor] Now what we're going to do…is we're going to draw our own component roads.…So from the editing tool up in…the left-hand corner, choose component roads.…Now from here you have the ability to select your assembly,…and I'd like you to choose whatever you want.…I'm going to choose the component assembly two lanes.…So basically this is just two lanes…with a white marking down the middle.…And just like we have with the design roads,…we click and we have the ability to change the design speed.…
Now for component roads, the default…design speed is 110 kilometers an hour.…Which is way too quick for what we're doing here,…even as a large job.…So I'm going to change that to 30, hit Enter so that it accepts…it, and then just click through your site putting in…different vertices and double click to end the road.…Now you might notice that we have…an automatic junction here.…
That's because the road that exists here is a design road.…So just like two design roads meeting,…means that you get an automatic junction.…
