Learn how to use the Cross Section Viewer to inspect superelevation for any cross-section of a selected component road, including road critical stations, bridge decks, intersection areas, and turn lane sections.
- [Instructor] Alright, let's have a look…at what InfraWorks allows us to do with superelevation.…So, from the home position, just head over to the bookmark…for superelevation A.…And we'll have a quick look at some superelevation…that's already been put onto an existing road…before we start going in and creating our own roads…and doing superelevation that way.…So, click on the road in front of you,…and you will see that it is a component road.…
I'm going to right click and hide the road geometry…so that the manipulators for the road are hidden,…and I'm going to switch superelevation on in the stack,…on the right hand side.…And there, you will see, a blue selected road,…you will see critical stations,…and you will see superelevation tracks.…It might be better for you…if you switch to engineering view,…and might be a little bit clearer if you do that.…
But it's completely up to you.…Now superelevation is basically the difference in height…between the inner edge of a curve…and the outer edge of a curve.…The outer edge of the curve is raised…
